A veteran of the 1968 occupation of Columbia lauds and envies you. You have advanced beyond what we accomplished years ago. The courage and determination of those who participated in the first encampment this Spring inspired thousands of others. Hopefully your efforts will inspire other university employees to take a stand for free speech on campus.

thank you for this amazing update. The @iswoninsta page is such a great resource. as a disabled/chronically ill person, i have often dealt with that external pressure to "do more" when my body cannot help but slow down. i really really appreciate the clear connection between the choice to do this "sickout" and the very real negative mental and physical injuries caused by global colonialism, campus censorship, administrative retaliation, and police brutality. When our universities help support war and destruction, when they invite cops on campus, when they evict and suspend us, they make us sick. They disable us. And once we are sick/disabled, they don't want to support us -- we're less exploitable and more expensive, and they can easily replace us. The only choice we have is to band together, to show our power, to do more, and to stand against those forces that want to not only exploit and disable us, but millions if not billions of people across the world. Thank you for showing us the way <3
